"When i begin a work, my mind focuses on a specific vision or object. Once this object takes shape, the work starts the manifestation phase where everything flows from one focal point. Color, shape, form, and light begin to harmonize through careful analysis and intuitive feeling."

"I love color. The dance it creates between colors is one of the glues that bind the elements together in my works. Color contrasts and harmony can enhance the feeling and power of a work. It stands right next to form and shape in the process of creating works that are dynamic, energetic, and imaginative."

"I Like to embrace topics in my work that question our existence and expand our role on earth. Such themes as DNA, Aliens, Colonization, and Mind / Spirit Expansion stir my imagination and analytical mind. I dive right into these works trying to find answers."

Inspiration & Passion

This collection started out of my passion and fascination with the energies and foundation of the universe. Shape, color, and movement have always been a key component of my work and vision. I've always loved the beauty and precision of geometric pattern and in a lot of work throughout the years, shapes such as triangles, squares, and circles have predominately been part of the overall harmony. I hope you enjoy my latest gallery of work and feel free to keep reading more about me and my work below!

Question & Answers from the New York City based Artist & Designer.

Q: How do you start a new work?

A: I get a rough blueprint in my mind for the theme i'm creating. I start with a focal point and let it grow from there. This manifestation process involves intuition, analysis, and feeling.

Q: Where do you get your ideas?

A: I try to absorb life and keep the engine of curiosity always churning.  My brain soaks it all up which leads to insights and ideas. I think we all should keep learning and growing. Keep an open mind.

Q: Has your style changed over time?

A: Yes. I've fused surrealism and abstraction with geometric patterns. My genesis Collection involving drawings was more surreal. My work now has geometric foundations with energy and movement.

Q: Where does your spark come from?

A: My connection to God and all his glory and love. As long as we stay true to ourselves, everything is possible. Inspiration is all around us. The spark within us can never die.

Q: When did you start creating? How old?

A: I remember drawing portraits of historic figures starting at the age of 6. I also started my love for chess and of course, legos, around that age as well. From that moment, the spark was set and ignited my love for creating.

Q: What are your goals for the future?

A: Continue to grow as an Artist & Designer. My first volume book about this collection is due out this year! Excited about that. I want to continue to push my creativity as high as it can go.

Artist Statement

I've always embraced geometry as an important component to my art compositions. The simple beauty of the triangle, circle, and square has been an essential blueprint for our life and universe since the dawn of time. These energies and dynamics always fascinated me and sparked my curiosity deeper into my art. Unlocking the meaning of these foundations is one of the driving forces behind my past and present approach to my compositions. Creating visually appealing themed works allows me to learn more about life as i go deeper into my own art.

When diving into a new work, my approach is simple. I start with a focal point and from there everything is possible. Like the ripples on the surface of water, the shapes, colors, and objects begin to grow from a central point and the work starts to take on a life of its own. A controlled chaos and harmony begins to emerge from one simple shape or object. My intuition, analysis, and feeling for color harmony starts to guide my work as the underlying foundation remains focused.

The true essence of my art is summed up by this: Color relies on shapes, shapes are reinforced by repetition and structure dynamics, and objects balance the shapes and color to unify the entire visual message. All of these elements have an importance to the impact of the work on the viewer, from the overall emotional feeling to evoking deeper thoughts about life and the world around us. The structure of the composition is as important as the final visual message it conveys.

My Interview with Ally

One of my best interviews i've done about my art, creating art, and having passion and inspiration in life.  I wanted to reach out and inspire as many as i could from Ally's platform and invitation to be on her show. She was a wonderful host and the conversation was very deep and engaging. Hope you enjoy it!
